This course is intended for the engineer working with a survey team, or the land surveyor who is interested in expanding their skillset to hydrographic projects. In this course, Jeff will review the basics of hydrographic surveying. We will discuss the different types of equipment and their use cases. Water level datums, observations of water levels, and the importance of vertical datum will be introduced. Data collection software options will be reviewed. Concluding the webinar will be a brief look at the US Government sources of Electronic Navigational Chart (ENC) data both inland and marine/coastal.
